Content:

Bionics focuses on the design of technical products following the example of nature. For this purpose we have to learn from nature and to understand its basic design rules. Therefore, the lecture focuses on the analysis of the fascinating effects used by many plants and animals. Possible implementations into technical products are discussed in the end.

The students should be able analyze, judge, plan and develop biomimetic strategies and products.

Basic knowledge in physics and chemistry

The successfull attandence of the lecture is controlled by a written examination.
